Roles and Responsibilities in a Virtual World

The 'Innovation by Design’ portal is committed to protecting information shared by our members in a spirit of collaboration. We sincerely hope, you will exhibit professional and ethical conduct when interacting with others. As community portals and virtual workspaces continue to emerge, so do the issues that impact interactions. We hope that you will help in promoting the benefits that may be derived, and thwart actions that may impede positive outcomes. From privacy, security and freedom of speech, to honesty and consideration in the way we interact with others, we all have a responsibility to preserve and protect its unique character. Here are a few recommendations to support facilitating positive interactions:

Provide true, accurate, current (dated) and complete information about yourself as prompted by the ‘Request an Account’ page.

Biographical information is publicly searchable. (Note: Assists in finding colleagues who may share similar interests.)

Do not upload, post, share or otherwise make available any content that is abusive or objectionable to others.

Keep your communication to the point

Do not act in a manner that negatively affects other participants'  ability to engage in real time exchange

Immediately notify a 'CLII Liaison' of any unauthorized use of your account/password

Ensure that you exit/’Sign Out’ from your account at the end of each session

Please remember that any information disclosed/shared in the public neighborhood – is searchable and accessible to others.

Your email address is used by the portal hosts to provide updated information including community-conference updates, events, and functionality updates, etc.
