Peggy Setje-Eilers, Senior Lecturer of German and Teaching Assistant Supervisor in the Department of Germanic and Slavic Languages at Vanderbilt University. She has been working on the MOOse project since the beginning of spring semester 2004 to create immersive language learning environments. Peggy notes, “Enabling students to use their online skills in a creative learning environment allows them to internalize complex material in new ways.”

Brian Griffith, Assistant Clinical Professor, Human and Organizational Development at Vanderbilt University. His areas of research include identity formation, spiritual development, wellness and undergraduate education. Brian uses a personal response system (PRS) in his classes to engage students in lecture material and administer and score weekly multiple choice quizzes. Brian has found that “students enjoy participating in serious academic topics that engage their minds and assess their learning.”
